MERIT POINT OF THE PACKAGE

1.    As suggested by many that Bhutan tour should always be with guide hence all our Bhutan Packages are with Guides from the time guest lands in Bhutan till the time they leave the Geographical boundary of Bhutan.

2.   We have based the packages on the best hotels of Bhutan, who know the taste of an Indian tourist. Vegetarian people have to know that these hotels serve both Vegetarian & Non Vegetarian food. The serve will be basic, freshly prepared & healthy. No region specific food will be available.

3.    For 2 pax we are using Toyota Car and 3-6pax we are using Haice Van & for 6pax & above we are using Toyota Coaster Bus.

  • No Commission for CWB = Child with Bed; CNB = Child No Bed; SRS = Single Room Supplementary & Meals Supplement of an ADULT OR CHILDREN.
  • Accommodation as per the itinerary on Bed & Breakfast plan on Twin / Triple Sharing Basis.

Day 01      ARRIVAL AT PHUNTSHOLING       (298Mts / 977Fts

Meet & Greet upon arrival at Phuntsholing (298Mts / 977Fts), a small town at the Indo-Bhutan border. Overnight at Hotel

 

Day 02      PHUNTSHOLING – THIMPHU (178 KMS /06 HRS, 2134Mt/7000Fts) 

After breakfast drive to Thimphu (178 KMS /06 HRS, 2134Mt/7000Fts), the capital of Bhutan, lies at an elevation of 2300m. Visitors can enjoy relaxing walk in the valley at evening. Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 03       THIMPHU – WANGDI (70 KMS / 03 HRS, 1350Mts / 4430Fts)

After breakfast go for half day Thimphu sightseeing visit Memorial Chorten - the Stupa built in 1974 in the memory of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. The paintings and images inside the monument provide a rare sight into Buddhist philosophy. Also visit Motithang zoo and Viewpoint. Afternoon drive to Wangdiphodrang (70 KMS / 03 HRS, 1350Mts / 4430Fts), the last town on the highway before entering central Bhutan. The drive over Dochu La pass is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 04      WANGDI – (PUNAKHA) – PARO   (135 KMS / 05 HRS, 2134Mts / 7000Fts)

After breakfast leave for Punakha, the valley, which lies amidst snow-capped mountain peaks, served as capital of Bhutan until 1955. Visit Punakha Dzong built at the confluence of the Po and Mo Chu Rivers in the 17th Century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel served as capital of Bhutan until 1955. The Dzong houses sacred artifacts and the embalmed body of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. Drive to Paro (135 KMS / 05 HRS, 2134Mts / 7000Fts). Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 05        PARO

After breakfast go for Paro Sightseeing - visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel Dzong which still attracts visitors due to the strategic location of the fort. The fort defended the Paro valley from the Tibetan invasion from the north in the early 17th century. On clear weather Mount Chomolhari 7320 meters can be seen towering over the Dzong. Proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower or locally known as Ta-Dzong. Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) Opening Hours – whole week - 0900HRS TO 1600HRS & Closed On National Holidays , which was built in 1651 as a watchtower. Since 1951 the Dzong has been re-established as the National museum and holds fascinating collections of art and religious Thankha paintings. A short walk downhill to the Rinpung Dzong which serves as the administrative center and school for monks. Walk further down crossing the traditional bridge into Paro Town. Overnight at Hotel.

NOTE: Kindly note that due to recent earthquake (18th September 2011) earth quake, Ta Dzong (Paro Museum) had been closed and shifted to exhibition hall just above the museum. Now the exhibition hall will be open throughout the week except for government holidays)

 

Day 06       PARO – PHUNTSHOLING    (176 KMS / 06 HRS, 298Mts / 977Fts)

After breakfast drive to Phuntsholing (176 KMS / 06 HRS, 298Mts / 977Fts) Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 07        PHUNTSHOLING - ONWARD CONNECTION

After breakfast the services end. One can take their onward connection.
